The Financial Investments Group has invested directly or through respected professional in public/private equities, Its portfolio managers and have some of the renowned names including Deutsche Asset Management, Wellington Management, J. P. Morgan, Permal Group, Julius Baer, Walter Scott, Lazard Asset Management, State Street Global Advisors, Rockefeller & Co.,Oasis Group and others. These portfolios are spread across different asset classes, including:

The Company's long-term vision embraces growth through adherence to Shari'ah guidelines, Islamic tenets that, among other things, forbid usury, which is interpreted as the payment or receipt of interest. They also prohibit investment in certain industries, such as alcohol, gambling, pornography and tobacco, which are similar to some faith-based investing guidelines in the United States. SEDCO's Islamic expert helps to determine whether investments are compatible with these requirements.
The Group is working with the world's leading financial institutions to develop a global market for Shari'ah compliant investments. Its partnership with Permal Asset Management has resulted in the Alfanar group of funds. SEDCO and Permal co-sponsored the first multi-manager family of mutual funds that complies with Islamic guidelines. (See the section on Partnerships/Alliances for details)
SEDCO actively manages diversified, equity-based financial assets throughout the world. Since 1996, it has built an investment management team that has launched Islamic funds focused on global and regional markets.
